Woodford County Conservation Area has numerous waterfowl impoundments as well as a fairly large bottomland forest. It includes a campground, boat ramp, and Illinois River access.
When not flooded, the trails through the bottomland forest provide opportunities for finding woodpeckers and other bottomland cavity nesters. Migratory warblers use the area in season.
